Standford Serious About Zoom Fatigue
Having written the first book on Teleconferencing in 1986 did not mean we did not do a lot of research on the human factors. Starting in 1978 we did interviews with leading researchers, actually taught the first seminar in London in 1984 on international teleconferencing so we knew how bad video conferencing can be. Yes, like cars great benefits but also terrible though not deadly disasters with video conferencing.
Now Stanford University is tackling what every Zoom users knows but Zoom corporate doesn’t really want to talk about “zoom fatigue” which is a real problem. Their research falls far short of the total impact but I applaud their efforts to address the problem,
